To assist with the AR resources for the prison pilots, we are organising filming 'vox pop' type with current and ex-offenders, to be able to demonstrate the value of engaging with education when in custody.

We propose to carry out the interviews in the ex-offenders work environment on site in Cubbington and Stafford. We will also organise some interviews with current offender learners at HMP Hewell, so we can gain their views on life in prison, especially with first time and those on longer sentences. This will give the full picture from both ends of the spectrum. These can then be incorporated into AR resources for inspiration or reassurances for first time young offenders with the 'real picture', utilised and disseminated across the European pilot institutions.

We are awaiting clearance from HMPPS, but these video interviews will be undertook over the next couple of weeks and the AR resources produced once the videos have been collated.
