Great Dissemination event for Belgium

Today was the first of two project dissemination events taking place over the next two weeks. The first was hosted by our project partners in Belgium and it was a great privilege to present the findings of our project and hear from a teacher at Everberg Youth Prison describe work with iPads for use by learners.

Richard presented the Phase 1 project aims and objectives and the work completed to date. The second phase project ‘Supporting Prison Learners to Prepare for Life on the Outside’ was also mentioned as the continuation work. It is always great to hear positive words and reactions for the Augmented Reality work and benefits for learners.

One of the participants mentioned colleagues in De Zande (Belgian institution for Youth offenders), who have an interesting project called Dreamtech, which use VR-technology in their internal school, and cooperate with Nerdlab. It could be interesting to share experiences between our two projects and communication has already been established.

The project team and partners are looking forward to our main dissemination event, which takes place on Tuesday 14 December via Zoom online.
