Just before Christmas, HMPPS met with Richard from SCG to discuss the progress with a new prison for the pilot as HMP Hewell will be closing in March 2020. There is the possibility of either Swinfen Hall, Brinsford, Featherstone, Oakwood or Leyhill. Justyn is going to speak to the Governors at each prison to see which the best institution will be to take the project forward. Currently, Swinfen Hall may be the right direction.

As HMP Hewell will still be involved until the point of closure, next steps for development are to undertake interviews with current offender learners (both newly in custody and more established learners). These will form support videos resources for AR resources to provide support and information for those new to prison institutions.
