Meeting to discuss requirements for iPad lock downs
· Darryl provided an overview of the project and anticipated aims to Andrew and Chloe.
· Richard provided more detail on the AR process and gave a demonstration of accessing the resources via the Zappar app on an iPad.
· Andrew discussed some potential ways forward for the short-term process and longer-term.
· Scenario One:
Learners released on temporary licence (ROTL) could work in the open part of HMP Hewell, in the Grange centre or learning centre to access the content. Staff/teachers could give out the iPad devices and collect them in at the end of every session. This will negate the need to go through the strict security process needed for the closed part of the prison intuition and cell use.
· Scenario Two:
Load content on Virtual Campus and then access wireless hotspot. The prisoner learners access content to the hotspot and no need to have the Wi-Fi access to the open world. It will be in the confines of the hotpot within the prison set up.
· Mark Taylor suggestion of designing and developing the format for an in-cell content device
· Host all of info on a server inside prison
· Offender management act cover prison property
· Speak to Zappar about what it downloads to a device
· Potential meeting with Zappar security team along with Andrew Woodley, Mark Taylor, Pat Clarke and Abi Brehcist
· Don’t mention In Cell at moment, keep the process simple. There is developments happening within Government and Prison Digital Agenda that may support this fully in the next 12-18 months.
· Prisoners using it in education area in a supervised area
· Enterprise software for lockdown
· Check Zappar account for other use?
· Perception of use maybe call other than AR
· Contact Zappar
· Security protocol
· What about prior to finding zap code, does it store these images
· Speak with MOJ
· Send Mark Taylor Zappar examples and guides
