Updates on the Security process and progress Steve gave an updated on the changing of accreditation of prison process and security. This accounts for the delay in having the meetings with MOJ Security teams (Impact Assessment)
There will now be a new assurance model and an assurance group will meet once a month to discuss and progress projects (hopefully including our AR project).
· Will conform to the ISO 2701 standard.
· Our UK pilot institution HMP Hewell will have an upgraded lease line for speed and access via Virgin Media instead of BT. (currently 2mb and will be upgraded to 100mb line).
· Replacement of hardware, software and upgraded operating system.
HMPPS/Hewell proposed process/actions The date of the first assurance group meeting will be July ’19.
After this meeting we will have a more clear view of progress for our project in terms of security process, locking down of devices and documentation.
Outcomes and needs for security process at Hewell and potentially other pilot institutions for partners:
· We need an MDM (Mobile Device Management) on the iPads.
· Authentication process – (know who is logged onto device)
· WiFi internet access
· Zappar info and security protocol
· Hewell - Have lease line that can be used for project needs
· Process needed:
o Lease line
o Wireless controller
o 1 AP (Access Point)
o Tablets connected to it
o Firewall in place
o Authentication
Actions:
o Steve to speak to technical team and Pat Clarke at MOJ after initial assurance group meeting in July ’19 and feedback outcomes to Richard.
